The Giddings Powerlifting Traveled to Elgin Texas, to compete at the Wildcat Invitational powerlifting meet on Saturday January 25th, 2025. The meet consisted of 14 teams and 320 lifters. The Girls team finished in 2nd place and the Boys team finished in 3rd place.
Top lifters for the Girls were: Zoey Smith finished 2nd in the 105 lbs. class with a total 595 lbs., Brianna Seale finished 4th in the 114 lbs. class with a personal best total of 510 lbs., Audrey Nicks finished 2nd in the 123 lbs. class with a personal best total of 600 lbs., Presley Hirsch finished 3rd in the 123 lbs. class with a personal best total of 575 lbs., Arisbeth Segundo finished 3rd in the 132 lbs. class with a personal best total of 655 lbs., Maylin Caldera finished 5th in the 148 lbs. class with a personal best total of 730 lbs., Jaiden Saucedo finished 1st place in the 198 lbs. class with a personal best and state qualifying total of 1070 lbs., Ariana Everett finished 5th in the 242+ class with a personal best total of 850 lbs., Angela Garcia finished 4th in the 242+ class with a personal best with 870 lbs., Kiera Blue finished 3rd in the 242+ class with a personal best and state qualifying total of 1055 lbs., Ariana Ramirez finished 2nd in the 242+ with a state qualifying total of 1060 lbs., and Adriana Garcia finished in 1st place with a state qualifying total of 1095 lbs.
Top lifters for the boys were: Brayden Tabola finished 7th in the 148 lbs. class with a personal best total of 725 lbs., Kyle Montgomery finished 7th in the 165 lbs. class with a total of 1080 lbs., Case Adams finished 6th in the 198 lbs. class with a total of 1125 lbs., Isaac Garza finished 1st in the 242 lbs. class with a personal best and state qualifying total of 1500 lbs., Jay Raz finished 1st in the 275 lbs. class with a personal best total of 1540 lbs., and Peyton Dees finished 1st in the SHW class with a personal best total of 1555 lbs. Both teams will be competing at the Del Valle Invitational meet in Del Valle, Texas on Saturday, February 15th, 2025.
