As the 2020 football season approaches, we continue to face challenges due to COVID-19. As a result, many new requirements and recommendations from the Governor, TEA, and UIL have been established.
One of the most impactful requirements for spectators will be the maximum capacity limit for athletic venues, which is currently set at 50%. Groups must maintain a six-foot distance from other groups, and seating in consecutive rows is not allowed. Due to these restrictions, we will not be able to offer season tickets for the 2020 football season.
Please know that your season ticket seat assignments will not be affected by the temporary season ticket suspension, and your status will be held “as is” until we are able to resume season ticketing.
The seating restrictions also make it necessary to limit the number of tickets available for each game. The process for obtaining a ticket will be announced soon.
To counteract the capacity limit, the UIL has lifted the ban on live streaming high school Friday football games in the state of Texas. We are in the process of finalizing the method to which we will be streaming our games and will communicate that information as soon as the details have been completed.
Thank you for your continued support of the Buffalo athletic program and your understanding of this matter.
