GHS Leo Club members along with their sponsor Brandy Zingelmann, participated in Sight Night on Monday, Oct. 17th. Lillie Pietsch, Kinlee Kays, Faith Zoch, Brooklyn Walther, Kelby Cowen, Sonya Bhakta, Reagan Hinze, Allison Frazier, Emily Butler, Dominic Castandea, Leah Tedford, Sadie Michel, Gavyn Bailey, and Rylan Sailors (below/above) drove, walked, and mingled their way through various subdivisions of the Giddings area in efforts to collect old and used eyeglasses and frames. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, these Leo club members collected over 150 pairs of glasses which will be recycled and put to good use for others in the future. Great job Leo members and great job Giddings residents! The Leo Club, along with local Lions Clubs, will continue to collect eyeglass donations for the month of October in honor of vision month. Donations can still be made at the Giddings High School as well as some local businesses.

GISD Superintendent Roger Dees highlights a few items of interest for the Giddings ISD community -- a PDF of this mid-October newsletter is available here: https://5il.co/1je5h
