Today's Lady Buffs Basketball playoff game scheduled for this morning has been cancelled until further notice.
GISD administration officials are closely monitoring the developing weather situation that may affect classes next week. A decision on any delay or cancellation for Tuesday will be made on Monday. The GHS Lady Buffs basketball Bi-District playoff game has been rescheduled again due to adverse weather conditions in Cameron. It will now be played in ROCKDALE tomorrow (SATURDAY) at 11am. Previously purchased tickets will be honored.
Tonight's basketball playoff game between the GHS Lady Buffs and Jarrell has been rescheduled for TOMORROW, Friday, Feb. 12 @ 6:30. The game will take place in CAMERON. Tickets purchased for tonight's game will be honored, and there are additional tickets available for purchase. The GHS Lady Buffs basketball playoff game in Rockdale has been cancelled. Details are being finalized on the rescheduled game and will be made available as soon as possible.
The GMS Lady Buffs were on their way to play the Lady Tigers when their bus experienced brake trouble. The bus came to a stop on the side of the road near the Smithville district bus barn. Smithville employees arranged to have a bus pick up the Lady Buffs and get them to the game, then they repaired the Giddings bus and delivered it to where the teams were playing.
Giddings ISD wants to say how grateful we are for our neighbors in Smithville! Thank you for your help! We appreciate you!

All campuses will be open two hours later than normal.
All buses will run 2 hours later.
Weather Alert -- 2 Hour Delay
After assessing the current weather conditions, it is out of an abundance of caution that GISD administration officials have decided to delay the start of school by 2 hours tomorrow, Monday, January 11.
Although conditions appear to be favorable for the delay, administration officials will continue to monitor the situation throughout the night. Should it become necessary to cancel classes for Monday, the announcement will be made no later than 7am on Monday.
Giddings ISD administrators are closely monitoring the developing weather situation and will make a final decision at 5pm regarding classes on Monday.

Giddings ISD’s last curbside meal distribution for the semester will be Monday, Dec. 14th.
We will resume curbside distribution in 2021 on Tuesday, Jan. 5th.

Giddings Middle School Buff and Lady Buff Basketball games against Bellville scheduled for today (Monday, Nov. 30, 2020) have been rescheduled. The games have been moved to Thursday, December 3, 2020. The GMS Lady Buffs will play at home at 4:30pm. The GMS Buffs will play at Bellville at 4:30pm.
***** Please remember that masks MUST be worn at ALL times while at GMS facilities. Parents/guests must present an admission slip for each guest at the door. The admission slip holds a seat for the guest. Guests must still pay for admission at the door.
